Webinars on Peace and Christian Democracy
CIVITAS, In cooperation with Istituto Luigi Sturzo, launches a series of Webinars on Peace and Christian Democracy.
Looking at today's dramatic international situation and the return of war in Europe, these webinars will provide a historical perspective, discussing the role and contribution of the Christian Democratic parties to issues relating war and peace, including methods of dialogue and prevention, atomic weapons, just war, boycotts and sanctions.
A first series of webinars will take place before the summer break in May and June. The series will then be continued after the summer. Each online seminar lasts around one hour (2.30-3.45 pm) and consists of a lecture by a keynote speaker followed by a discussion with the CIVITAS community.
The first webinar will take place on 11 May at 2.30-3.45 pm online on zoom. Prof. Massimo De Giuseppe, from Università IULM of Milan, will discuss "The International Peace projects and the Italian Democratic Christian Party".
