Call for Papers: Democracy Beyond the Revolution
On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the Archivio per la Storia del movimento sociale cattolico in Italia “Mario Romani” will hold an international conference on the action of social forces in the
period between the 1960s and 1990s. The meeting aims to deepen the knowledge of the nature, role and goals of the autonomous social realities and experiences that have contributed to the
preservation and promotion of a “substantial democracy”, building real spaces of participation in social, economic and civil life. These are realities that have promoted experiences of representation
and/or instances of participation ascribable to the multiple and differentiated expressions of substantial democracy, operating also in non-democratic contexts, as a free integration of the public
sphere.
The conference will be hosted by the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, and will take place in dual mode on from 10th-11th of March 2022. The deadline for applications is the 15th of November 2021. Click on the image to read the full Call for Papers.
